The first two week of February, me and my girl friends took a trip to Rio, Brazil. It was suppose to be a vacation, no work, but it was one of the hardest things I've had to do. I love shooting and for 2 weeks, I only did one real photo shoot and it ended up being one of my favorite shoots I've ever done.
I went to Brazil without taking my 5D Mark 3, because I decided it would be too risky and dangerous to walk around with that camera, so I ended up taking my old camera, my Canon t5i with my 18-55mm kit lens. I wasn't planning on doing a shoot, so I didn't think I would need my Mark 3, and I didn't!
I did these photos with my Canon t5i with the 18-55mm kit lens! After shooting these photos, I was so amazed because after all the years of studying and learning a camera, I realized that I didn't need an expensive camera to create my art. I will say that having my 5D Mark 3 has changed my photography game, and it's great for when I'm working with clients; However, to take photos of what I love and do what I love, I don't need an expensive camera! I just need the knowledge in my head and the love for what I do to appreciate the beauty of taking pictures. Sometimes, we get so caught up thinking that more and more expensive equipments will make the photos better, but if you're starting off and don't have the money, believe in your art and CREATE!
