What a great way to start the year off with a photo shoot full of adventure and awesome people! When there is great energy on set, I always already know that the photos will come out amazing. Which they did, so stay tuned for the final photos!
Before any shoot I always make sure to put my all into it. For this shoot specifically I wanted to let my creativity loose. I sent out mood boards to the models and designers to get them on board with me. Once everyone confirmed that they were in, I started the process of location scouting, and putting the inspirations together.
Since I was also doing the styling, I wanted to make sure we were ready before the photo shoot, so I went to the each of the models house and put together the looks and got them fitted. I just knew I didn't want to worry about anything missing the day of the shoot, since I was going to be more focused that day on shooting and making sure everything was running smoothly.
The day of the photo shoot, we all got up early, met up at my house and then all rode out to the location. William was amazingly kind enough to make sure we all got our caffeine to get us through the day, so we hit up a Starbucks and got on the road. Luckily for us we were shooting on a Sunday, which means NO TRAFFIC! Once we got on location I got William and Kaitlyn in their first outfit, to warm them up before the motorcycle got on set, since that was my main highlight for the shoot. Instantly, they were already so comfortable shooting with each other! I was amazed, because sometimes, I know it's hard for male models and female models to model with one another comfortably. Well these two had no tension between them at all, it was as if they knew each other for a long time.
This shoot was nothing but creatives doing what they love, even the owner of the motorcycle, Jules, was throwing out some ideas that got us all excited! I was even being one of those photographers that kept screaming "YES! LOVE IT! YESSSS!" I just couldn't help myself, the shots were terrific and the natural lighting on set was perfect!
I love when I do photo shoots like these because it's what keeps me going. It's true when they say, "Do what you love and you won't have to work another day in your life."
